With my husband working late shifts and my oldest teen in practice at dinner time, it is very hard to sit and have family meals.
Busy Bodies
Dear BB:
There's no hard-fast rule that families have to eat together every day. While that sure would be nice, it's just not a reality for a lot of us. (That said, is it possible for the whole family to sit down together for a meal on a certain day each week?)
On the remaining weekdays, we should try not to use MIA family members as an excuse to skip meal-sharing with other members of the family. In your case, you and your teen could sit down to a nice (late) dinner and use it as a chance to catch up and unwind. Wouldn't that be nice? You'd still enjoy the benefits of eating together.
