Gluten-Free Apple Streusel

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 apple, grated or finely chopped
  • STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cups brown sugar

Equipment

  • measuring cups and spoons
  • cutting board and knife
  • grater
  • small bowl
  • large bowl
  • muffin pan

Here is how:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Add streusel ingredients to a small bowl. Rub together until combined. Set aside.
  3. Mix all ingredients (minus the streusel topping ingredients) just until moist.
  4. Fill greased muffin tin and sprinkle on the streusel topping.
  5. Bake at 350° F for 25–30 minutes.
