Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 8–10 semi-sweet chocolate squares

Equipment

  • measuring cup
  • bowl
  • electric mixer
  • double boiler
  • waxed paper
  • 2 forks

Here is how:

  1. Combine peanut butter, dates, icing sugar and walnuts in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Roll into balls about 3/4" in diameter.
  3. Melt hot chocolate over hot water in double boiler.
  4. Using two forks, dip each ball into melted chocolate and place on wax paper to dry.
  5. Voilà!
  6. This is a recipe my mom made when I was a kid and I still make it. It is my kids' favorite Christmas cookie/treat!
