Oatmeal Buffet

Ingredients

  • oatmeal, prepared your favourite way
  • dried fruit (e.g. raisins, cranberries, apricots)
  • nuts, coconut
  • peanut butter
  • milk or yogurt
  • fresh fruit

Equipment

  • little bowls for the add on ingredients

Here is how:

  1. Prepare oatmeal according to your favourite method. I usually cook my oatmeal in milk to increase my milk intake!
  2. Arrange little bowls of whatever you have on hand as add-ons for your oatmeal. The ingredient list will give you some ideas, but the list could go on.
  3. Let everyone create their own special bowl of oatmeal from the buffet on the table.

I love the idea of little bowls of add-ons.  I will try this with my grandchildren.
